El Patio as recommended to us by a foodie friend when I lived in FM. I still dream of this place. Their ceviche is the best I have ever had still. Their chicharon de pescado is the ABSOLUTE BEST FISH I have EVER had. I now live in Tampa, but my friends friends from Miami and I meet half way in Fort Myers and come to this restaurant. It is AMAZING. The Tacu Tacu, chicharon de pescado and the ceviche are amazing...and if you have room, the Flan is AMAZING also! It is all so fresh, so light, and delicious. It has been years, and I woke up actually dreaming about this place this morning. It's time for my trip! They also have a little bakery which opened: delicious and the prices are amazing!!!! I tell everyone who is coming Fort Myers that they canNOT be within the vicinity and not have this heaven-on-earth food! It's not pretentious, it's almost in a little back strip mall, you'd never know that food could taste so good! Treat yourself...but you may never want to leave! I could bath in the two sauces they have! I'm off to plan my trip down! One other place ABSOLUTELY worth it while you're in town, The Clam Bake - dive-ish kind of place with the BEST, FRESH lobster...lobster roll HEAVEN!

READ THIS FIRST: I have been there several time and always have a good meal. The ceviches are always nice & refreshing, and the Aji de Gallina is super comfort food. If you havent tried it you need to. Although Aji de Gallina is served without any spice, if you want to spice it up, it takes heat great. Also try the flan, its perfect everytime.

Okay I'm bowled over and surprised it took me so long to discover this place. We were promptly seated and given warm corn nuts for starters. After ordering the vegetable stuffed avocado we were brought ice water with a lime wedge. Karen ordered the grilled chicken dish with onion and tomatoes and I requested the grilled chicken tacu tacu with lentils. She first returned with two hot sauces then the two meals. Both were sensational. With no room for dessert we left with take out menus because we are coming back.

I've been here several times now and every time it's delicious. I speak little to no Spanish, so thankfully much of the menu has photos on it to help see what I'll be having. The portions are huge and priced very well. Try some of the juices, they are imported and at $2 a glass you can't beat the flavors as if you are drinking from a straw stuck in the fruit! The menu has tons of options so there is something got everyone, and it's all super flavorful. The only thing I haven't loved is the Giant Corn and Cheese appetizer. If you're a fan of regular, sweet corn, the consistency and flavor of this won't do it for you. Try the Avocado stuffed with Seafood - it was a sure crowd pleaser. The main courses all seem delightful dependent on your tastes. Nice wine and beer selection. Service is good, but in Peruvian culture they consider it rude to keep bothering you and bring you the check without you asking so they'll give you space that you're likely not used to while dining. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's worth the trip!

I would say that I had not been back in quite some time and was pleasantly surprised at the remodel and updates they have done. They have converted the entire menu to Peruvian and I love this style of cooking. The menu has grown 2 fold since the last time I was here. I can honestly say its closer to a book. It took me about 10 mins to read thru the entire list of choices. The portions are great, the Lomo Saltado is fantastic, the plantains are perfect and the fried yucca was cooked just right. We had the white beans and they were nicely cooked. Not overly salty like some other places like to make them. I finally have a place near the Mall that I can go to and have a nice meal We had 2 Chicken lomo saltado, and extra side of Yucca and a Modelo and our entire bill was under $30.00. This is was for dinner not lunch. The chicken was very moist and lots of if. If I had 1 complaint it was that the home made hot sauce was mild... otherwise, we will be back. My new go to place not to far from home.

Ceviche mixto and jelea were both great. My parents who "don't eat Mexican food," liked ceviche and maybe expanded their culinary range a little thanks to this place. Prices are fair and portions are good, especially the jelea.

I tried this place for the first time because a friend recommended it to me. I really like the cuisine, the menu can be overwhelming because there is so much to choose from. Service was great, ambiance is a little strange but the food is what matters.

So delicious and authentic with cute decor, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. The portions are enough for leftovers. Truly a hidden gem as its in a run down strip mall, but worth the trip. My family and I all got different things and they were all great. Please get the plantains!

El Patio is hands down my favorite place to eat in the area. The ceviche (all of it) is always delicious, it's my go to dish here. Their lomo saltado is also super yummy! I have also had all of the desserts and they too are delicious. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant, if you like Peruvian food, this is the best in SW Florida!

We came in at 11 on a Saturday. It was empty and we got friendly, speedy service. We got one Chicha Morado (purple drink), which was pretty tasty, and the server brought a free side of the cancha (crispy corn). I ordered the chicken fried rice and the server talked me into having half a plate of rice and half a price of chicken lo mein. It was delicious but ended up being about five dollars more than what I originally ordered. My husband ordered a seafood special, which came with a large portion of fried seafood (fish, scallops, squid) and a huge pile of rice. The seafood was melt-in-your-mouth delicious but the rice was SO FISHY. It tasted like a fish house, in a bad way. Our bill ended up being way higher than we anticipated. We enjoyed it but didn't love it.

The place is discreet but looks just perfectly fine, the food was great, I had the seafood rice and it was a huge, delicious portion, service was good and attentive but not overwhelming which I prefer, went there for lunch as some friends invited me there for my birthday, I was very happy overall, lunch for 5 was only $60 (one kid included), which is very reasonable. Will certainly be back, lomo saltado on my next visit.

I'm from Texas and was in Florida for business trip with my husband. In Texas El Patio is usually a Mexican restaurant ! To say we were surprised that we were in a Peruvian restaurant is an understatement! We were pleasantly surprised since we had never eaten or thought of Peruvian food. Our waiter was very helpful and the food was very good! I will pay closer attention next time but was very happy we stopped!

I visited El Patio against my better judgement. I guess you have to be peruvian to enjoy what they serve. I do not want to bash this restaurant but I feel like I am in a third world country when I am in there. The renovations look like Joe the butcher did them. The bathrooms are...well, have foreign matter. They had some tacky work done and was under construction when I was there. The waitress was attractive and friendly but I could not understand her well. The food was definitely peruvian as expected. Not my choice.

This was the second time I've eaten here and I've got to say every dish I've tried is phenomenal- definitely recommend the seafood ceviche and caldo de gallina!

Excellent ceviche mixto and pretty darn good lomo salado. The whole red snapper was disappointing as it wasnt very flavorful. Our waiter was professional and attentive. The restaurant decor is plain and simple and it is located in a sketchy strip mall but don't let these things fool you!

Our once a week staple. This place is consistently delicious, friendly and clean. We came here initially for the ceviche (which is easily the best in fort myers) but have returned each week for such new found favorites as poll a la brasa, lomo saltado, tacu tacu and some awesome breaded chicken with some seriously impressive rice and beans. The doughnuts here are to die for! The service is always impeccable.

This place is cheap and amazing. I was skeptic at first to try it but I'm so glad I did. This place is awesome and the food is delicious. I'm hooked if I could eat here every day I would. My food was delicious and came out fast. My waiter was super sweet and refilled drinks right away.
